About This Role

Safely operate a non-CDL straight truck to deliver freight locally within a 150-mile radius of Fayetteville, NC, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining accurate records while providing good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within a 150-mile radius of Fayetteville, NC
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records
• Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Secondary background screen - Federal Level 2 conducted by the USPS (for employment on this account)
• Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959 (unless legally exempt)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
