About This Role

Provide and administer all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services. This role involves providing therapy, performing intubation assistance and ventilator management, and educating patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide and administer all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual
• Perform respiratory therapy under medical direction, including education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies
• Perform Intubation assistance as well as Ventilator set-up and management
• Gather all information necessary to properly evaluate the patient's needs, including disease education, testing, and consultations with other healthcare professionals
• Develop a rapport and mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members to foster an optimum environment for goal achievement
• Provide and document education to patients and caregivers based upon identified needs in an understandable manner
