Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

About This Role

Serve as a travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse, providing care for adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong ED skills and the ability to handle trauma, neuro, ortho, and complex emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Position based in an Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric patients
• Handle trauma, neuro, ortho, and complex emergencies including procedural sedation and ventilated patients
• Use Epic EMR for charting
• Work night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts, 19:00 to 07:30
• Handle triage, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, pediatric emergencies, shock/trauma, and CPAP/BiPAP application
• Wear navy blue scrubs
• Complete annual stroke education (8 hours)

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Familiarity with FEMA awareness protocols
• Skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, IV vasopressors, sedation, trauma, and ventilator management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required

Nice to Have

• Pediatric ED experience preferred
