The Transportation Coordinator/Driver is responsible for safely transporting residents for errands, medical appointments, and activity outings, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and unload residents safely for personal errands, medical appointments, and activity outings
- Assist residents with boarding and de-boarding vehicles, especially those with special needs
- Track mileage and maintain vehicle log
- Maintain receipts for vehicle expenses
- Complete routine maintenance for safe operation of the vehicle and report non-routine needs
- Keep the vehicle's interior and exterior clean
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards
- Complete pre-inspections before vehicle use
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with P (Passenger) endorsement in current state
- Satisfactory driving record
- High school graduate or equivalent
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Prior experience with seniors preferred
