The Certified Medication Technician (QMAP) delivers quality assisted living services focused on maximizing residents' individual capabilities in accordance with all regulations and company standards. They report to the Resident Care Director and play a crucial role in medication administration and resident care.
Responsibilities
- Follow all policies and procedures for medication administration, ordering, and delivery.
- Immediately report medication errors or missing medications.
- Provide quality care to residents as indicated on their care plans.
- Promote resident independence in accordance with their service plan.
- Comply with all infection control guidelines.
- Ensure proper transfer of medication cart between shifts, including narcotic count.
- Document medication administration in the electronic health record (EHR) per policy.
- Participate in community Lifestyles activities, events, and outings, encouraging residents to attend.
- Demonstrate patience, compassion, and integrity with residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Med Tech or QMAP certification
- CPR certification upon hire or within 90 days
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience in senior services preferred.
