Transit & Parking Director

About This Role

This Director position delivers a fiscally sustainable transportation system, encouraging mode shift for residents and visitors. The role advances the vision of the Comprehensive Plan by providing strategic leadership and direction for municipal transit and parking services.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level administrative functions in the management of programs and policies
• Prepare budgets for the transportation network
• Oversee grant administration for the transportation network
• Manage the Capital Improvement Program funding
• Recommend project schedules for transit and parking
• Lead, manage, and direct the work of assigned employees
• Provide internal and external customer service

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, Transportation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in public transit, urban planning, and/or parking
• 2+ years of supervisory experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, Transportation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• 7+ years of increasingly responsible professional experience in public transit, urban planning, and/or parking, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
