Training and Engagement Specialist

About This Role

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs that support the entire employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding. The specialist will enhance employee engagement, training, and career development to foster a positive, productive work environment across the credit union.

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date on policies, procedures, operating systems, and regulatory compliance requirements to provide accurate information to staff
• Coordinate with department leaders to identify training needs and ensure employees have necessary skills
• Support the new employee onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
• Develop and deliver training programs, such as Symitar and MeridianLink, for new hires and existing staff
• Create and manage professional development plans and career pathing initiatives
• Develop and update training materials, guides, job aids, and e-learning content
• Track trainee progress, evaluate effectiveness of current training through assessments, surveys, and feedback
• Plan and facilitate employee engagement activities and initiatives to improve company morale
• Manage and coordinate company-wide events
• Coordinate the distribution of recognition for employee birthdays, work anniversaries, etc.
• Coordinate logistics for training, including calendar invites, reminders, content prep, and follow-up
• Maintain and update the company's online photo directory and other internal communication platforms
• Produce a monthly team member newsletter
• Assist with the coordination of administrative duties and details related to the employee life cycle
