TRA Apprentice

About This Role

This apprentice role involves working on transmission line projects up to 500 kV, focusing on construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead lines and substations. The position requires operating specialized equipment and ensuring safe handling of electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission structure replacements, wire pulling, and new line builds
• Perform construction, maintenance, or repair work on Transmission lines
• Install and maintain wood poles and steel towers of all heights, including setting, framing, and installing hardware and related materials
• Operate and maintain vehicles and specialized equipment used in the electric utility industry
• Safely identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit and be familiar with induced voltage

Requirements

• Valid and current state Driver's License
• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 3 years of lineman experience
• Valid Class A CDL
