Tire Technician

About This Role

This role is responsible for assisting members with tire selection and purchase, performing tire installation and repair, and maintaining the tire bay area to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in the selection and purchase of tires, including verifying sizes for vehicles and providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk.
• Properly install tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
• Repair tires as needed.
• Dispose of tires properly and ensure propane tanks are filled per club policy.
• Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs.
• Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
• Understand and appropriately utilize available special-order tire programs.
• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards and properly utilize tire bay equipment.
• Ensure all tire bay scheduling data and documentation is completed for sales and service orders.
• Fill propane tanks as needed if certified per DOT requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance

Qualifications

• Prior tire installation experience preferred, basic computer skills or willingness to learn required.
