Therapy Aide

About This Role

The Therapy Aide assists therapists in providing exceptional and compassionate care to patients with various medical conditions at OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital. This role involves patient-related tasks, transfers, and equipment setup to support rehabilitation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient-related tasks as assigned by therapists
• Lift patients to and from mats, treatment tables, wheelchairs, and other equipment
• Assist patients with transfer activities to all surfaces
• Assist patients in donning and doffing all appliances
• Position patients in parallel bars and prepare patients for standing with appropriate devices and equipment
• Transport patients to and from therapy as needed
• Assist therapist with other patient-related treatment activities and equipment setup
• Assist with patient-related activities including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One or more years of hospital experience as a therapy aide preferred

Nice to Have

• One or more years of hospital experience as a therapy aide
