About This Role

Serve customers and clients by handling inquiries, complaints, and requests related to rates, policies, and services, ensuring accurate billing and collections for a public power and water utility.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, research, and resolve inquiries, complaints, and requests from customers involving rates, policies, practices, procedures, and products and services
  • Research, analyze, calculate, and change customer account information to allow timely and accurate billing and/or collections for services rendered
  • Research, analyze, and change customer account information to correct errors on customer accounts, billing data, or metering data
  • Perform duties necessary to establish new accounts, market and administer services and programs, and coordinate with municipalities
  • Research, analyze, and prepare various entries, reports, and statistics
  • Apply credit policies in accordance with Customer Services' policies and procedures
  • Research and respond to customer inquiries of payments, account balances, and usage patterns
  • Initiate and/or complete appropriate and timely field orders, field investigations, or other orders
  • Process, direct, and dispatch field personnel to complete filed orders, appointments, and requests
  • Answer and handle customer outage contacts, including entering trouble orders
  • Perform cashiering duties including accepting power and water payments, daily balancing of cash drawer, reconciliations, and preparation of bank deposits

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Reside in the Phoenix metro area
  • Reliable internet connection (50 Mbps recommended) for remote work
  • Quiet, distraction-free home workspace

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Experience as a Customer Services Rep., Customer Services Rep. Trainee, Administrative Clerk, General Clerk, or equivalent.
