About This Role

Process teller transactions and handle cash for clients accurately and confidentially. Maintain branch integrity through daily tasks and mitigate risk by ensuring safekeeping of funds. Provide proactive solutions to clients and deepen knowledge of bank products.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, payments, transfers, and check cashing.
• Accurately perform and support daily tasks that maintain the integrity of the branch, such as balancing the ATM, processing night drop deposits, and balancing negotiable instruments.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawer and promptly accounting or transferring funds.
• Interact with external and internal clients, anticipate needs, and consistently provide proactive solutions and problem resolutions.
• Continuously deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank's product and service offerings and stay current on changes.
• Discuss and uncover customer’s financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Support referral goals for the branch by identifying and referring basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions
• Ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates

• 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience
