Teller

About This Role

Process daily financial transactions, deliver excellent customer service, and promote bank products in a retail banking environment. This role is crucial for maintaining high procedural standards and building long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Handle a cash drawer, ensuring proper control and adherence to audit and security policies
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payment transactions for customers
• Process miscellaneous transactions such as bonds, municipal coupons, and money orders
• Assist in daily balancing and processing of ATMs and verify night/lobby depository entries
• Assist with dual control vault responsibilities
• Stay informed of operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with guidelines
• Deliver excellent client experiences and promptly resolve client issues effectively
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer clients to appropriate teams
• Promote bank products and services to enhance client relationships
• Comply with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, and internal controls

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to use 10-key calculator
• Ability to use coin counter
• Completion of DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 6 months of cash handling or teller experience strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to Have

• 6 months of cash handling experience
• 6 months of teller experience
