Teller

About This Role

This Teller position performs various banking functions, including processing transactions and promoting bank products and services, while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
• Cash checks and other negotiable instruments for clients
• Examine documents for endorsements and negotiability
• Process transfers between accounts
• Sell traveler's checks, official checks, and money orders
• Process credit card cash advances
• Verify and balance cash daily, detecting and resolving discrepancies
• Offer bank products to meet customer needs and strengthen relationships
• Follow Teller procedures consistently and adhere to compliance requirements
• Operate online teller terminal and maintain privacy of customer information

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience/cash handling
• Good communication skills
• Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
• Good math skills
• Good typing skills
• Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience/cash handling required; previous Teller experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Previous Teller experience
• Understanding of Bank operations
