Technician III

About This Role

This role involves performing skilled mechanical and analytical duties to coordinate and complete projects, potentially supervising subordinate employees. The work is guided by general procedures and evaluated based on results.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Phlebotomist staff
• Schedule patients for laboratory services and EKG
• Collect various specimens, including fasting CMPs, and report critical lab values or cultures to the ordering physician
• Provide HIV post counseling for the CID department and complete HIV pre-release testing
• Work with phlebotomists to maintain laboratory cleanliness in accordance with ACA standards
• Maintain laboratory licensing and credentials to ensure compliance with operating standards
• Maintain supplies and lab equipment, and report non-functioning equipment to the proper person

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Four years' experience

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• 4 years of experience, additional job-related education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis

Nice to Have

• Phlebotomy Certification
