Technician I - Mico LSS

About This Role

This role is responsible for overseeing pre-analytical processes, including specimen collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving to ensure efficient laboratory operations. The Technician I will also resolve specimen issues with clients, ensure quality, and assist with routine departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-analytical processes for laboratory specimens including collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving
• Interface with Eurofins DPT clients to resolve specimen issues
• Recommend changes to services, processes, and policies to enhance pre-analytical efficiencies
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve client complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Perform duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies
• Assist department as needed with routine operations
• Support Eurofins DPT’s business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics
• Adhere to Eurofins DPT’s quality management system including good workmanship, standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience
• New to the clinical laboratory testing environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
