This role is responsible for executing pre-analytical processes for laboratory specimens and ensuring client satisfaction. The Technician I will work to improve efficiencies and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Execute pre-analytical processes for laboratory specimens including collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving
- Interface with clients to resolve specimen issues
- Recommend changes to services, processes, and policies to enhance pre-analytical efficiencies
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve client complaints through investigation and solution development
- Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as needed
- Perform duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies
- Assist department with routine operations as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
- New to the clinical laboratory testing environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong analytical skills
