Technical Program Manager – Strategic Planning

About This Role

This Technical Program Manager will deliver strategic programs within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints for Mercor, an AI research company. The role involves overseeing project definition, requirements gathering, and budget management while interacting with executive management for complex issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver programs within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints, managing moderate-probability, moderate-impact risks
• Conduct program-level strategic planning and interact with executive management for complex issue resolution
• Manage internal exempt and matrixed employees and contractors to deliver systems and enhancements meeting specified requirements
• Oversee project scope definition, requirements gathering, time estimating, schedule development, budget management, and status reporting
• Track and maintain progress reports across projects, ensuring timely follow-ups with stakeholders to drive execution and accountability
• Proactively escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams or leadership to ensure timely resolution and maintain project momentum

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering
• PMP or PMI certification
• Experience with project estimating, scheduling, tracking, and customer interaction in large organizations
• Proven people management and team-building skills
• Ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products
• Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
• Experience with the software development lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering
• Experience with project estimating, scheduling, tracking, and customer interaction in large organizations. Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment. Experience with the software development lifecycle.
