Technical Product Owner, Manager - Tax Transformation

About This Role

This role involves supporting the global execution of Deloitte's tax strategy by managing vendor teams to build and deliver platform features, ensuring timely progress, and escalating risks. The position focuses on transforming the global tax business with digital technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor teams in building and delivering platform features according to prioritization
• Track and monitor progress, ensuring timely reporting of milestone and dependency status
• Monitor risks and issues to escalate to leadership
• Execute day-to-day coordination activities to support the technology transformation
• Set development team's priorities and adherence to delivery standards
• Provide leadership coordination and oversight within one delivery team to deliver functionality
• Coordinate with business representatives when details are needed
• Partner on the design and ensure product meets specifications by conducting demos at Program Increment Sessions
• Follow standards, guidelines, and metrics aimed at delivering business value quickly and efficiently
• Proactively identify and mitigate product-related risks

Requirements

• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or other relevant discipline
• 5+ years' experience leading technical delivery teams
• Demonstrated product development experience using different software development methodologies, like Agile and Scaled Agile
• Proven knowledge of risk management and tracking techniques
• Ability to travel up to 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or other relevant discipline
• 5+ years' experience leading technical delivery teams

• Azure DevOps exposure
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong listening, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
