Technical Product Owner, Manager - Tax Transformation

About This Role

As a Technical Product Owner, Manager in Deloitte's Tax Transformation team, you will manage vendor teams to build and deliver platform features, ensuring adherence to delivery standards and tracking progress. This role involves coordinating with business representatives, partnering on design, and proactively mitigating product-related risks to support the global execution of Deloitte's tax strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor teams in building and delivering platform features according to prioritization.
• Track and monitor progress, ensure timely reporting of milestone and dependency status.
• Monitor risks and issues to escalate to leadership.
• Execute day-to-day coordination activities to support the technology transformation.
• Set development team's priorities and adherence to delivery standards.
• Provide leadership coordination and oversight within one delivery team to deliver functionality on behalf of Tax.
• Coordinate with business representatives when details are needed.
• Partner on the design and ensure product meets specifications by conducting demos at Program Increment Sessions.
• Follow standards, guidelines, and metrics aimed at delivering business value quickly and efficiently.
• Proactively identify and mitigate product-related risks.

Requirements

• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or other relevant discipline.
• 5+ years' experience leading technical delivery teams.
• Demonstrated product development experience using different software development methodologies, like Agile and Scaled Agile.
• Proven knowledge of risk management and tracking techniques.
• Ability to travel up to 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• One of the following active accreditations: Licensed CPA (if eligible), Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, or specified Technology Certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or other relevant discipline.
• 5+ years' experience leading technical delivery teams.
