Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of an on-premise multi-tenant data center environment for Nightwing. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for complex issues and drive the adoption of virtualization and automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable on-premise multi-tenant data center environments.
- Act as the lead technical authority and subject matter expert for technical escalations and critical issue resolution (Tier 1-3).
- Drive the implementation of virtualization and automation solutions to improve IT service delivery.
- Develop strategic roadmaps for operational systems and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of IT systems.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR 4 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in a technical leadership role
- Proven expertise in software virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Demonstrated experience in strategic IT planning, roadmap development, and execution for enterprise operational systems
- TS/SCI Poly Clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting mission-critical systems and platforms
- Strong track record of driving IT process improvements through automation
- Experience with a combination of on-premise data centers, cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and edge computing architectures
