Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a friendly and outgoing Team Member to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing food, handling transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Work multiple stations including load, dress, shakes, cash, and prep, as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager
- Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety
- Restock food line, chips, and cooler
- Prepare quality finished products efficiently (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.)
- Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, and utensils; take out trash
- Operate cash register, handle, balance, and follow all cash handling procedures
- Effectively handle customer complaints/issues
- Take delivery, catering, and pickup orders over the phone
Requirements
- Ability to delight customers with great food and good vibes
- Friendly and customer service-oriented attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player
- Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours or as needed
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
