About This Role

Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service, great tasting food, and a clean restaurant environment in accordance with Jack in the Box procedures and guest expectations. This role involves performing various workstations to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to food quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service, great tasting food, and a clean restaurant environment for all guests
  • Perform one or more workstations in accordance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and standards
  • Follow the 3-steps (Listens, Says Sorry, Makes it Right) if a problem occurs with a guest
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness (interior/exterior) and stocking of work areas
  • Prepare menu products following procedures, ensuring correct ingredients, portioning, and quality presentation
  • Read video monitor and assemble products, verifying appearance, quality, temperature, and order accuracy
  • Measure, assemble, and prepare ingredients for various products according to product mix information
  • Handle guest complaints and proactively address guest needs, following the "Yes" to the Guest philosophy
  • Receive and store products on delivery following established procedures
  • Utilize systems in the restaurant to produce quality products and keep the restaurant clean

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Understands and communicates clearly in English
  • Ability to read and understand written English
  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply)
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to stand and walk approximately 90%-95% of shift
  • Ability to move freely throughout the restaurant
  • Ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs
  • Ability to listen to guests' orders
  • Ability to operate a cash register
  • Ability to read video monitors

Qualifications

  • Guest service or food cook/preparation experience helpful; comfort working in a high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.

  • Guest service or food cook/preparation experience
  • Ability to speak another language based on location of restaurant
