Team Leader Maintenance Night Shift

About This Role

Lead the night shift maintenance team to eliminate causes of failure and ensure equipment longevity in a food manufacturing plant. Oversee repair, maintenance, and installation activities while supporting production schedules and technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Eliminate all causes of failure and ensure full useful life in coordination with daily maintenance completed by operating personnel on the night shift
• Lead activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment
• Provide technical and problem solving support for the plant and maintenance crews
• Support and execute plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve Plant's key performance goals for overall maintenance performance
• Assure production schedules are met and all issues are resolved and communicated in a timely fashion
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards
• Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Oversee all aspects of the maintenance department, production lines and affiliated equipment, building and grounds on night shift
• Schedule work and manpower to meet production demands, maintain the preventative maintenance system and work toward meeting or exceeding the plants safety and uptime goals
• Control maintenance expenses by monitoring overtime and parts expenses weekly

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3-5 years of previous maintenance experience
• Previous supervisory experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blue prints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Knowledge and experience with Preventative Maintenance programs
• Knowledge of Electronic and Electrical principals
• Computer literate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program preferred
• 3-5 years of previous maintenance experience, 3 years related experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with previous supervisory experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program
• CAD/Drafting experience
