The Operator Processing position operates and adjusts all process equipment, monitors line flow and waste, corrects problems affecting quality and production costs, and makes line changes as directed by the production lead or team leader. This role is for a chopped and formed process operator on D Shift.
Responsibilities
- Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork, report to the assigned line, complete walk through and prepare for operations
- Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear and perform a safety check on equipment to be used in daily operations
- Check schedule, work orders and bulk product inventory, take oil, blancher and finished product samples to lab as required
- Monitor the blancher and fryer, complete walkthrough, take samples, make adjustments, check drains and magnets as required
- Manually dump and /or scoop ingredients and condiments into hoppers according to recipe and pump oil from fryer as required
- Keep the work area clear and clean, hose down area, sweep / shovel up spills, empty trash and replace liners
- Secure all equipment, complete all required paperwork, perform general housekeeping and wet clean-up at end of shift
Requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Basic computer operation knowledge
- Data entry skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements
- Ability to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance
- Ability to operate work related equipment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

- Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment
