Tax Technology Consulting - SAP Tax Manager

About This Role

As a Tax Technology Consulting (TTC) Manager specializing in SAP Tax, you will guide clients in leveraging SAP and other indirect tax engines to streamline their tax functions. Your role involves managing client engagements, designing innovative technology solutions, and contributing to practice growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
• Manage and deliver components of SAP or indirect tax engine client engagements and teams.
• Identify, design, and implement technology and innovative solutions to address tax needs.
• Understand and articulate the broader TTC practice and Deloitte overall, maintaining relationships to serve clients holistically.
• Perform the role of counselor and coach, participating in staffing and retention activities.
• Develop and maintain contacts, organize and lead pursuit teams, and contribute to business development.

Requirements

• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model (2-3 days in office)
• 5+ years' experience in implementation of tax related solutions in SAP including direct and indirect tax solutions (native SAP, ONESOURCE Indirect Determination, Vertex, Avalara, Sovos (Taxware))
• Bachelor's degree
• One of the specified active accreditations (CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, or listed Technical Certifications)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years' experience in implementation of tax related solutions in SAP including direct tax (corporate income tax, operational transfer pricing, state income taxation) and indirect (transaction tax) solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with a Big 4 firm, large ERP/consulting organization, or a large IT department of a multinational company with tax related experience
