This Tax Administrator role supports tax compliance, record maintenance, and audit preparation within the tax department of OES Equipment, a supply and rental company in the construction industry. The position involves administrative functions to ensure smooth operations and requires experience in public or private sector tax administration.
Responsibilities
- Manage email/mail groups, including opening, filing, copying, scanning, and assigning to tax team members
- Maintain internal records
- Provide internal and external audit support
- Utilize internal tracking software to meet tax deadlines
- Perform special projects and other ad-hoc duties as needed
- Manage vendor/customer certificate deficiencies
- Coordinate meetings/trainings
- Prepare sales tax for multiple states
- Assist in managing the business licensing function
Requirements
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent listening skills and strong oral/written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Unwavering work ethic and willingness to cross-train
Qualifications
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1-5 years of tax/accounting experience (indirect tax) preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with RentalMan (Wynne Software)
- Experience with Coupa (P2P software)
- Knowledge of sales tax language
- Retailer or construction industry-related experience
- Experience in managing multiple email groups
