Regional Equipment Specialist – Large Projects

About This Role

This role supports large projects for a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry, focusing on equipment utilization, team collaboration, and operational efficiency across multiple branches. The specialist will contribute to rental performance, promote safe equipment practices, and assist with business operations and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and improving equipment utilization and fleet readiness
• Support maintenance planning, safety compliance, and fleet right-sizing efforts
• Use rental and fleet software platforms to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Help ensure compliance with EHSP and regulatory standards (FMCSA, OSHA, DOT, ANSI, etc.)
• Support branch teams in building strong customer and vendor relationships
• Promote consistent service practices to enhance customer satisfaction
• Contribute to planning efforts aimed at improving rental revenue, margins, and cost control
• Assist with budgeting, procurement processes, and maintenance planning
• Contribute to the development of rental-focused teams
• Maintain a consistent presence across branches to foster collaboration and communication

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in equipment rentals, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Understanding of equipment procurement, rental cycles, and maintenance planning
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
• Effective problem-solving and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other industry support data applications

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Construction or related field of study
• 5+ years of experience in equipment rentals, logistics, or warehouse operations. Understanding of equipment procurement, rental cycles, and maintenance planning.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with P2P systems (e.g., Coupa)
• Familiarity with equipment rental software (e.g., RentalMan)
• BA or BS degree in Construction or related field
