About This Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with leadership and hiring managers to identify workforce needs, define roles, and evaluate talent, focusing on recruiting for a specialty site-work contractor. Key responsibilities include sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating the hiring and onboarding process for both union and corporate employees.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and hiring managers to identify workforce needs, define roles, and evaluate talent
  • Identify potential candidates through various sources including job boards, social media, networking platforms, and job fairs
  • Review resumes, cover letters, and other application materials to identify qualified candidates for union and corporate employees
  • Perform initial phone screenings, in-person interviews, and potentially more in-depth assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and fit
  • Coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates throughout the process, and facilitate job offers and employment negotiations
  • Assist new employees with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition
  • Cultivate strong relationships with candidates to create a positive experience and build a network for future opportunities
  • Promote company culture and core values to prospective hires
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and relevant legal regulations
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and other departments regarding employee data

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of related prior experience with focus on talent acquisition and/or industry related experience
  • Strong understanding of recruitment and talent management best practices
  • Ability to build relationships with employees and managers
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of related prior experience with focus on talent acquisition and/or industry related experience
