Provide technical and programmatic support to the Fire Control and Guidance Branch (SP23) within Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), focusing on managing various technical projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of program strategies, specifications, and costs, ensuring compliance with SSP and higher-level requirements.
- Provide technical, schedule, cost, and risk assessments, including considerations for technical, operational, and programmatic trade-offs.
- Participate in Critical Design Reviews, Production Readiness Reviews, Production Reviews, Design Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, Program Reviews, and other program-related meetings.
- Lead and support integrated product teams.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen
- Active DoD SECRET clearance
- Ability to work at Washington Navy Yard
- 4+ years of engineering experience on defense programs
- Exceptional writing and presentation abilities
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (preferably engineering, chemistry, physics, math)
- 4+ years of engineering experience on defense programs
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a STEM field
- Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs (SSP)
- Experience with Department of Defense weapon system acquisition or Navy operational experience, ideally related to Navy submarine systems or Strategic Weapon System (SWS) integration, development or testing efforts
- Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance
