About This Role

Serve as a Systems Engineer for U.S. Government contracts, analyzing requirements, leading design and development activities, and providing technical leadership for system integration. Manage the organization's repository of documents and other artifacts in SharePoint, and assist with document workflow and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
  • Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations
  • Develop technical documentation, including system architecture and design documentation
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
  • Maintain the organization's repository of documents, architectures, graphics, and other artifacts within SharePoint (Knowledge Manager role)
  • Help manage the document workflow process and review documents for compliance with organizational policy and writing conventions
  • Schedule and facilitate requested evaluations submitted from vendors
  • Receive, unpack, and set-up submitted commercial equipment for evaluation by C2562 (secure destruction/storage device sanitation equipment)
  • Review equipment documentation and manuals and select appropriate evaluation SOPs
  • Set-up appropriate tools and sensors to support evaluations and operate equipment to perform defined performance and safety evaluations
  • Collect technical data, take photographs of equipment/residues, and generate technical reports to document evaluation results
  • Review and update policies concerning secure destruction and respond to customer inquiries regarding policies and procedures

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline (or 5 additional years of SE experience)
  • 20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
  • SharePoint experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
