Systems Engineer (Software)

About This Role

Join Trideum's Systems Engineering team to help shape the future of military aviation by developing a cutting-edge Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for uncrewed aircraft systems. This role involves driving requirements definition, integration, and verification across the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, decompose, and manage system and interface requirements
• Establish traceability from stakeholder needs through verification
• Manage baselines, changes, and versioning across systems artifacts and models
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, software developers, and program leadership
• Provide creative and impactful input to improve system usability and performance
• Prepare and maintain engineering artifacts such as Systems Requirements Specifications, Software Development Plans, and Requirement Matrices
• Apply SysML modeling and MBSE practices if experienced
• Travel occasionally to customer sites or for team collaboration as required

Requirements

• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Strong understanding of requirements management, integration, and verification processes
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and communicate across disciplines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3-7 years of experience in systems engineering or related discipline

Nice to Have

• Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design or development
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods (e.g., SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw)
• Experience in defense or aerospace programs
• Knowledge of software development processes and UI/UX principles
• Hands-on integration and test experience
