This Systems Engineer role involves supporting mission-critical needs by serving as a scrum master in an agile environment and contributing to the software development product lifecycle. The role focuses on managing system and derived requirements, supporting developers, and coordinating action items from various review boards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a scrum master in an agile environment following the software development product lifecycle
- Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents
- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with defined system architecture(s)
- Support developers in translating technical work into diagrams or other documentation
- Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation to components
- Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews
- Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Understanding of agile processes
- Experience with Java
- Experience with Confluence
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with SE models
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with requirements analysis
- Experience with architecture designs
- Clear and concise communications skills
- Collaborative working style with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to communicate and translate technical work to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
- 7 years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity, or 5 years additional SE experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
