Swim Assistant Coach

About This Role

This role involves assisting in the development and execution of training plans for the Del Norte High School swim program, coaching athletes during practices and meets, and cultivating a positive and high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach and refine skills, techniques, and strategies for competitive swimming
• Assist with meet preparation, including line-ups, equipment, and team coordination
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and highly competitive team culture
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration
• Monitor and promote the academic and personal growth of student-athletes
• Develop and organize team events, fundraising, and community service initiatives
• Support compliance with all school, CIF and league policies
• Assist with program administrative requirements

Requirements

• Strong background in competitive swimming
• Coaching experience
• Commitment to student-athlete development
