This role will provide direct support to adults with brain injuries, focusing on restorative skill-building activities and supporting daily living. The specialist will help individuals rebuild communication, social, and self-help skills to enhance their lives and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with medical, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional needs in completing daily activities, including personal care, meal prep, cleaning, and leisure.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed, promoting independence and personal growth.
- Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and report any significant health, behavioral, or psychiatric concerns.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks and report all maintenance or safety issues to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with adults with cognitive, behavioral or developmental issues
- Valid Massachusetts Drivers License
- Ability to drive program vehicle in Boston and highways
