About This Role

Proactively identify and mitigate potential quality risks from suppliers, develop and implement Supplier Quality Assurance strategies, and act as the Safran Electrical & Power Quality representative during interactions with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify potential quality risks from suppliers and coordinate an effective mitigation plan
  • Propose, develop, and implement Supplier Quality Assurance strategies to improve supplier quality and ensure Supplier Assurance throughout the supply chain
  • Act as the SEP Quality representative during interactions with suppliers and serve as the link for Supplier Quality within SEP and Safran
  • Conduct quality audits (mainly product and process audits) and establish discrepancies and recommendations based on the quality system and Safran's requirements
  • Prepare audits to be carried out with the audited supplier, including scope, sector, and practical arrangements
  • Ensure the auditee is aware of the content/agenda and review audit references and history
  • Conduct audits at suppliers' sites and verify compliance with Safran and Safran Electrical & Power requirements
  • Evaluate providers' ability to meet Safran's requirements, Safran Electrical & Power standards, and international aerospace standards
  • Evaluate the strengths, risks, and opportunities of auditees and propose risk mitigation measures
  • Provide feedback at the end of the audit, report back, write an audit report specifying deviations, and approve action plans established by suppliers
  • Monitor actions unless they are structural ongoing actions with suppliers
  • Record findings in the ETQ information system

Requirements

  • Significant industrial experience in quality, industrialization, or supply chain
  • Higher education degree (General Engineering, Master's in Quality or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of quality problem-solving methodologies (8D/9S)
  • Knowledge of AS/EN/JISQ 9100, Part-21, Part-145, SMS, AS/EN 9102 FAI
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Production processes (including special processes)
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Knowledge of Risk management
  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, M3, MFG...)
  • Mastery of problem-solving methods and quality tools (8D, 9S, Kaizen, Kanban)
  • Experience in designing and implementing PFMEA
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP/FAI/DVI processes
  • Ability to create and modify a quality control plan
  • Fluent English
  • Proficiency in writing in English and Spanish

Qualifications

  • Higher education degree (General Engineering, Master's in Quality or equivalent)
  • Significant industrial experience in quality, industrialization, or supply chain

  • Trained in audit techniques
  • Knowledge of special processes
