About This Role

Manage the day-to-day operations of Poplar Village, a 136-unit apartment community, overseeing staff, marketing, and resident relations to maintain property integrity and ensure exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of more than two direct reports
  • Market the property to attract prospective residents
  • Maintain property integrity and address any issues promptly
  • Screen prospective residents and process applications
  • Collect rents and manage financial records
  • Serve notices as required by landlord-tenant laws
  • Develop reports on property performance and occupancy
  • Prepare agreements and lease documents
  • Handle after-hours emergencies

Requirements

  • One (1) year of previous property management experience
  • One (1) year of previous supervisory experience
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Basic experience with MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks (collecting rent, preparing reports)
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly with attention to detail
  • Strong marketing skills
  • Strong supervisory and organizational skills
  • Availability for after-hours emergencies
  • Advanced knowledge of all city, county, state, and federal Landlord, Tenant, and Fair Housing Laws
  • Current and valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and clean driving record

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 1+ year of property management experience and 1+ year of supervisory experience

Nice to Have

  • Six (6) months of previous customer service experience
  • Previous Entrata Property Management Software experience
