Substitute Teacher

About This Role

Support classroom instruction as a Substitute Teacher by following lesson plans and maintaining a professional learning environment when the regular teacher is absent. Opportunities are available for both daily and long-term substitute roles.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction when the regular teacher is absent
• Follow provided lesson plans
• Ensure continuity and professionalism in the learning environment
• Assume full responsibility for classroom instruction during extended teacher absences (for long-term substitutes)

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years
• At least 24 semester hours of college credit OR equivalent
• Two reference letters (one from a recent employer or cooperating teacher)
• Complete an orientation class

Qualifications

• At least 24 semester hours of college credit OR equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree for daily substitutes.
