About This Role

Guide clients on the path to recovery by facilitating group therapy sessions, providing one-on-one counseling, and collaborating with community partners and medical providers to help individuals heal from addiction.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of Better Life Partners
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients
  • Utilize Better Life Partners' evidence-based curriculum guides and training
  • Provide detailed feedback and maintain clinical progress notes on clients
  • Counsel one-on-one with clients when necessary
  • Participate in research and data collection efforts
  • Formulate and maintain treatment plans for each client served
  • Collaborate with community partners and providers on case management and care coordination efforts
  • Adhere to professional and ethical work standards, enforcing appropriate counselor/client boundaries
  • Manage group dynamics and problem behavior with professional judgment
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for licensing and billing purposes
  • Attend and engage in regular training, company meetings, and supervision

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in mental health, social work, psychology, addictions or related field
  • NC license as LCAS
  • 2-3 years of experience working with substance use or related field
  • Reliable internet service with fast upload/download ability

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated experience leading group therapy sessions over telehealth/zoom
  • Comfortable working with an EMR and/or EHR system, including updating clinical notes
  • Willingness to travel locally within the communities served
  • Flexible schedule, including ability to work 1-2 evenings a week
  • Self-motivated to help as many people as possible
  • Team player with an “all hands on deck” positive attitude, organized/able to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor
  • Valid driver’s license
