Guide clients on the path to recovery by facilitating group therapy sessions, providing one-on-one counseling, and collaborating with community partners and medical providers to help individuals heal from addiction.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and communicate the core values of Better Life Partners
- Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients
- Utilize Better Life Partners' evidence-based curriculum guides and training
- Provide detailed feedback and maintain clinical progress notes on clients
- Counsel one-on-one with clients when necessary
- Participate in research and data collection efforts
- Formulate and maintain treatment plans for each client served
- Collaborate with community partners and providers on case management and care coordination efforts
- Adhere to professional and ethical work standards, enforcing appropriate counselor/client boundaries
- Manage group dynamics and problem behavior with professional judgment
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for licensing and billing purposes
- Attend and engage in regular training, company meetings, and supervision
Requirements
- Graduate degree in mental health, social work, psychology, addictions or related field
- NC license as LCAS
- 2-3 years of experience working with substance use or related field
- Reliable internet service with fast upload/download ability

Nice to Have
- Demonstrated experience leading group therapy sessions over telehealth/zoom
- Comfortable working with an EMR and/or EHR system, including updating clinical notes
- Willingness to travel locally within the communities served
- Flexible schedule, including ability to work 1-2 evenings a week
- Self-motivated to help as many people as possible
- Team player with an “all hands on deck” positive attitude, organized/able to multitask
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor
- Valid driver’s license
