Manage the day-to-day operations of a Walgreens store, driving sales and profitability while ensuring an exceptional customer and patient experience. This role involves team leadership, merchandising, inventory management, and compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze customer service, providing training and action plans for improvement in retail and pharmacy
- Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services
- Supervise operation of the store and pharmacy, including opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation, and scheduling team members
- Supervise control of store money, including register counts, bank withdraws, armored car pickups, and all bookkeeping aspects
- Supervise merchandising by planning and implementing sets, resets, and revisions of departments and promotional spaces
- Analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and liquidating stock
- Manage operations of assigned location, ensuring strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Ensure staff has working knowledge of all computer and technology systems (e.g., registers, StoreNet, Intercom+)
- Assign daily operational responsibilities and tasks and set expectations for store team members and assistant managers
- Analyze financial and performance data, developing action plans to increase sales and control costs
- Manage team member performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals, observing, providing feedback, and giving recognition
- Make hiring, promotion, and termination decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience
- Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state OR pharmacy assistant in WA state OR licensed Rph as soon as possible given state law requirements, no later than 12 months from Store Manager position start date
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years retail management experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5 years retail management experience with a High School Diploma/GED
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree
- PTCB or ExCPT Certification
- Three years retail management experience, including supervising others, managing, and assigning work
- Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state OR pharmacy assistant in WA state OR licensed Rph
