About This Role

Lead a high-performing retail team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive profitability for a home design store. This role involves managing daily operations, fostering talent, and implementing new processes to ensure consistent success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Assistant Store Leaders and Team Leaders in setting and maintaining sales, customer service, and visual merchandising goals and standards
  • Communicate store business goals, company mission, and initiatives to all store associates
  • Establish, communicate, and manage critical metrics and expectations including sales, visual standards, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll budgeting, scheduling, and training
  • Establish priorities and set direction for the store by conducting weekly walkthroughs
  • Achieve established goals, identify and analyze problems, and offer solutions that produce positive results
  • Coach Assistant Store Leaders and Team Leaders to create individual development plans for all team associates
  • Address all associate relations-related issues effectively, escalating to Area/Regional Leader when necessary
  • Communicate with area/regional management and actively participate in meetings and conference calls
  • Encourage and foster collaboration, cooperation, and co-ownership across all business channels
  • Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working together safely, effectively, respectfully, and efficiently
  • Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick, and efficient service
  • Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and the company

Requirements

  • 3+ years customer service or retail leadership experience
  • Excellent reading and written language skills (English)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong proactive problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set expectations and hold others accountable
  • Strong delegation skills in support of execution and driving results
  • Proven ability to build a culture focused on success and teamwork
  • Ability to work a full time flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

  • 3+ years customer service or retail leadership experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, computer systems and tablet devices
