About This Role

Lead a department within a Shoe Carnival store, ensuring overall store standards are met and providing excellent customer service. This role involves training associates, handling transactions, managing merchandise, and promoting sales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a department (e.g., Women’s, Men’s, Children’s) and support overall store standards
  • Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude
  • Train and guide associates on service, product placement, and cash handling
  • Handle transactions, returns, and safe/till counts as needed
  • Organize merchandise, displays, and assist with truck unloading and floor moves
  • Promote current sales and programs
  • Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team

Requirements

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence in taking initiative and leading by example
  • Ability to learn and operate the POS system
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years old

Qualifications

  • At least one year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred)
