Starbucks Manager

About This Role

Lead the Starbucks department, focusing on excellent customer service, efficient food and beverage preparation, and effective team management to ensure operational excellence and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness and fast, friendly customer service
• Assist customers with product suggestions and special orders
• Engage in suggestive selling techniques
• Answer and respond to incoming calls professionally and resolve customer concerns
• Possess complete knowledge of all department duties, brewing, and serving of items
• Brew coffee and tea to company standards; prepare and maintain hot and cold food items
• Implement proper and efficient product preparation, brewing, and packaging techniques
• Operate all required equipment
• Maintain the Starbucks area, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and a safe work environment
• Schedule employees to ensure adequate coverage and service levels
• Supervise, train, direct, and assign duties to department employees
• Train team members on store policies, sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service
• Monitor employee productivity and evaluate overall job performance
• Initiate personnel actions including pre-employment interviews, transfers, promotions, and disciplinary steps
• Plan daily operations and monitor production processes in alignment with company procedures
• Maintain working knowledge of all company policies and guidelines
• Understand and execute opening and closing procedures within the department
• Enforce proper code-dating practices for all products
• Build displays, rotate stock, and remove outdated or spoiled product
• Implement seasonal and promotional displays
• Prepare sales and inventory reports; conduct physical inventory every 4 weeks
• Control inventory to maintain proper product quantity, quality, and freshness
• Stock, rotate, and maintain products; organize and maintain cooler and storage areas
• Perform receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying invoices, inspecting product quality, and reporting shortages
