Dairy Manager

About This Role

This role involves managing the Dairy Department, ensuring strong customer service, effective product handling, and compliance with operational and safety standards for freshness and quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with strong emphasis on fast, friendly customer service
• Assist customers by making product suggestions and offering helpful information
• Engage in suggestive selling through telephone interactions, in-store intercom announcements, and direct customer communication
• Answer and respond to incoming calls professionally; resolve customer concerns appropriately and escalate to the Store Director when necessary
• Rotate stock and remove outdated or spoiled product promptly to maintain freshness and quality
• Ensure all merchandise is correctly priced, clean, properly displayed, and well organized
• Maintain full compliance with temperature requirements during product storage, display, and receiving
• Follow and enforce proper code-dating procedures for all products in the department
• Assist with physical inventory every 6 months
• Control inventory levels to maintain adequate stock, freshness, and quality in accordance with division directives
• Stock and rotate all Dairy Department items consistently to support availability and product integrity
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and visual appeal of the Dairy Department, including coolers, work areas, equipment, and display spaces
• Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays to drive sales and customer engagement

Requirements
