Staff Nurse - RN - Crisis Stabilization

Responsibilities

• Work in the Crisis Stabilization Unit
• Utilize compassionate, evidence-based practices in psychiatric care
• Support excellence in quality and patient satisfaction
• Improve the health of patients and their families
• Participate in shared clinical decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current New York State RN license
• BCLS certification
• Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science & current health care environment
• Knowledge of customer service principle & effective interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of use of computer applications
• Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care
• Live within a commutable distance to NYP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Nice to Have

• At least 1 year of previous experience in inpatient psychiatric nursing
• Nursing Certifications
