This role is for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who will design and deliver training programs for nursing staff and lead the infection control program. The coordinator will ensure high-quality care and maintain a safe environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging training that equips nursing staff to provide the highest quality of care
- Track and maintain education records, ensuring every staff member has the skills needed
- Be a trusted resource for staff — from onboarding to ongoing education
- Partner with leadership to identify training needs and create a year-round education plan
- Lead the infection control program and serve as the go-to expert for policies and procedures
- Monitor, track, and analyze infection trends in the facility
- Educate staff on best practices to keep residents, visitors, and colleagues safe
- Play a key role in QA/QI meetings and decision-making
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in healthcare
- 2+ years in a post-acute, LTC, skilled nursing, or hospital setting
- Strong background in leadership, staff education, and infection prevention
