About This Role

This Senior Technical Program Manager role involves building resilient, highly available, and operationally excellent systems for Prime Video Sports. The position focuses on managing complex reliability initiatives, balancing business SLAs with technical constraints, and enhancing system uptime by transforming operational incidents into prioritized technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, high-impact availability and operational excellence initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on system reliability, operational health, and measurable availability outcomes.
• Transform operational incidents, availability gaps, and reliability concerns into prioritized technical specifications by partnering with engineering and operations teams.
• Help teams distinguish between tactical incident fixes and strategic availability solutions, consolidating related operational needs into cohesive reliability improvement projects.
• Quantify operational and availability impact of proposed solutions by establishing and tracking key reliability metrics and driving continuous improvement through data-driven decision making.
• Establish clear timelines with measurable milestones for availability improvements, operational runbook development, monitoring enhancements, and incident response optimization.
• Track cross-team commitments for operational readiness, document action items from incident reviews, and provide concise status updates to leadership.
• Drive operational excellence practices including blameless post-mortems, proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and disaster recovery preparedness across engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
• Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical program management experience, 3+ years of software development experience, and experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules. 5+ years of software development experience.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
