Sr. Supervisor, Quality & Mission Assurance

About This Role

This role involves leading a team of approximately 10 product inspectors within the Q&MA Product Acceptance organization, ensuring delivered products conform to contractual and L3Harris requirements for product quality. The supervisor will ensure adherence to established quality policies and government regulations, implementing process improvement initiatives to achieve zero-defect, on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of inspectors supporting various inspection efforts, including receiving inspection, in-process assembly & test inspection, and clean process verification
• Guide team to resolve technical challenges, ensuring successful tactical execution
• Promote a strong culture of quality focused on the engagement of every employee, with adherence to personal stamp warranty, workmanship fundamentals, and attention to detail in the prevention of defects
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality factory management peers, and Quality and Manufacturing Engineering technical support resources to resolve hardware constraints
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives promoting sound and effective principles as set forth in company procedures, customer requirements and government standards
• Measure, monitor, and take action to ensure quality-focused key performance indicator targets are achieved or exceeded
• Partner with Leadership in maintaining certification and compliance efforts for AS9100 and other required certifications
• Support identification of needed capital investment to support business need (including quality process capacity, capabilities, & technologies)

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of prior relevant Quality experience (with Bachelor's degree)
• Minimum 2 years of prior related Quality experience (with Graduate Degree)
• Minimum 8 years of prior related Quality experience (in lieu of a degree)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 years of prior relevant Quality experience with a Bachelor's degree, 2 years with a Graduate Degree, or 8 years without a degree.

Nice to Have

• Comprehensive knowledge and skills associated with manufacturing and/or inspection of aerospace products
• Management and leadership knowledge in a Quality or Manufacturing role
• Direct experience managing a Quality Inspection or Quality Organization in an Aerospace or Defense manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and/or other quality standards
• Direct experience with fabrication, assembly, test, and inspection processes commonly used to produce aerospace components and sub-assemblies
