Electrical Assembly Technician

About This Role

This role is responsible for the precise assembly of electrical components, including cable/harness and electro-mechanical assemblies, for electronic cabinets.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable/harness assembly
• Execute hand soldering tasks
• Conduct mechanical assembly and inspection
• Assemble electronic consoles and systems
• Perform point-to-point wiring
• Read, understand, and interpret electronic and mechanical diagrams and assembly instructions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work with precision
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to troubleshoot wire issues
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience in mechanical assembly, hand soldering, and self-inspection
• IPC-610 certifications
• One or more years of experience in high tech electronics environment
• One or more years of experience in manufacturing
• Completion of a certified technical school training
• Familiarity with building rack/cabinet/console assembly
