About This Role

This critical position leads the development and delivery of cutting-edge Space-based payloads and sensors for remote sensing, missile warning and track, and space warfighting within technical, cost, and schedule objectives. Responsible for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for software and hardware development, assembly, and integration and test efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully lead a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.
  • Develop, oversee, and coordinate the cost/schedule/technical aspects of an ongoing engineering project within program guidelines.
  • Review status of engineering projects and budgets, manage schedules, drive execution, identify opportunities, and deliver results.
  • Assess engineering issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals.
  • Identify, track, mitigate, manage, and disposition program-level risks and opportunities.
  • Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
  • Provide coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
  • Develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV) and manage a project using the Earned Value Indicators on a DCMA surveilled program.
  • Participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks to drive execution (e.g., value stream mapping activities).
  • Work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and have regular contact with customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience (or Graduate Degree with 4 years, or 10 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • Prior or current IPTL/CAM Professional experience
  • Prior or current experience with project engineering and program execution
  • Experience in managing multi-discipline programs across multiple locations
  • Experience in managing a team Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL) and driving labor resources in a matrix organization
  • Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Ability to obtain a program SAP security clearance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or Graduate Degree or 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience with a Bachelor's, or 4 years with a Graduate Degree, or 10 years experience in lieu of degree.

Nice to Have

  • Experience or knowledge of Government contract acquisition lifecycle
  • Experience with management of design to cost activities
  • Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities
  • Experience with operations and/or manufacturing activities
  • Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques
